Prior to joining IBM, Neil was a Research Coordinator for the Hospital Report Research Collaborative at the University of Toronto, where he contributed to the development of performance indicators in organizational governance and system integration for Ontario’s acute care hospitals. He has written many peer-reviewed and lay media articles on health policy and management. He is co-author of Psyche in the Lab: Celebrating Brain Science in Canada and is working on a new book describing emerging global policies and processes to manage obesity. Neil received his B.A. (Hons.) from Queen’s University in 1992, his J.D. from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law in 1995 (called to the Bar of Ontario in 1997), and his Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) from Harvard University in 1998. As a researcher and writer, he has been listed in the Canadian Who’s Who since 2002 for contributions to public policy. He is the author of the 2008 OHA report, Principles and Recommended Guidelines for Hospital Annual Reports in Ontario.
