Description Mr. Halpin entered full time consulting practice in 1987 and since that time has provided a wide range of services to numerous clients within Ontario and across Canada in the private and public sectors.

Governance And Educational Leadership

In 1999, Mr. Halpin developed, in collaboration with the Ontario Hospital Association, the Effective Health Care Governance Program. This program, the first of its kind in Canada, operated until 2007.

During the eight years the program was provided, Mr. Halpin facilitated over 40 Governance Programs attended by approximately 1,200 Board members from across Ontario representing approximately 170 hospital and Health Care organizations. All programs presented were highly rated by the participants.

In 1999, Mr. Halpin, in collaboration with the Ontario Hospital Association, developed programs designed to enhance the managerial skill sets of Directors, Managers, Supervisors and general staff of Ontario health care organizations. Approximately 2,000 health care leaders from over 170 hospitals, and health care organizations, have taken the “Leading Management through Exemplary Leadership” programs which have consistently enjoyed high participant ratings.
